Have you read A Long Walk to Water?

Our goal with One School, One Book was to get many ASD community members to participate in a shared reading experience. Our book A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park has inspired and challenged many students, parents and teachers.

If you have read the book, please show your participation by adding a water drop to our display on the windows of the ES Library. Write your name and a comment about the book.

One water drop equals one reader.

Let's fill up our windows with the names of our reading community.

Copies of A Long Walk to Water are available in both libraries for check out and for sale for AED 25.

Walk In Their Shoes: SEENAH/GAIA Empathy Water Walk at DUCE

Inspired by A Long Walk to Water student clubs SEENAH and GAIA invited our school community to join a ‘Water Walk’ around the track at DUCE on January 30. The walk raised awareness of the millions of people without access to fresh water and to raise funds to help drill water wells in South Sudan. Funds raised on the walk will be donated directly to Salva Dut's organization, Water for South Sudan.
